It was nice.

The way your instruments complimented the ones I used is just awesome, but there is something I've noticed.

Because it's an edit of the original, it's a bit too familiar for me. Remixes that you've done, like of You can't run were made completely by you, note by note, and that kind of work really shows.

This was a little lacking in that, but it was a great remix nonetheless.

OpenLight responds:

Yeah lol that's why I put redux. I'm psyched that someone put your review was useless just because it had a little negativity lol but it wasn't necessary. My "helpful" rating should even things out.

Yeah this was along the style of what I did with !omi's song. I took the mp3 and added on haha. I may remix something else of yours soon, but I might wait.

Chilled out to this.

The way you blended the musical structure of Thailand with the drums made this a pretty fun track to listen to.

Additionally, that part at the middle of the song gave it a bit of a grunge-y vibe, and that gave it some extra character.

I enjoyed listening to this.

SoulSecure responds:

Thanks, I didn't think about it that way. Grungey, eh? Now I'll be thinking about that for a while...

*puts on silly hat*

In all seriousness, this is pretty awesome. I usually think of polka music as being very silly and gimmicky, but the way you executed it embraced the emotion behind it.

You have my vote.

matvei responds:

Thanks man, polka is supposed to be super cheesy, so I tried to level it out in the solo. Thanks for the kind words.

P.S. if you actually voted for me than you better correct it, cause we were in the same block! (cant vote for someone in your block, I believe.) So if you did, you might want to correct it in a PM to neon.
If you mean it figuratively, then thanks :D

Dang, I want to go to Lebanon now.

This style of music is so unique to what I'm used to listening to, and you've successfully taken me somewhere with this track. Even as I write this review, I can visualize this festival making its procession through the city streets.

camoshark responds:

Thanks alot for the nice review!

It was pretty good

However, your choice of bass was too harsh and repetitive. The constant variation of the percussion made things a little more fresh, but that bass really overwhelmed the other elements.

Dark Ambience.

I love the piano in this, the stabs created this dissonance within the song that made feel so eerie and desolate.

Then the bass and percussion came in, and it kinda wore down for me. It came on a bit too strong, given the ambience beforehand, but when the beat expanded at 1:39, I was back on board.

I like the darkness of this track, but it was a bit of a bumpy ride for me.

That beat...

I don't know how you made the drums sound like that, but it fit so well with the atmosphere of the song. Add in how it expanded at 1:24, and you've got me hooked on this.

The way you fused the wooden percussion of your selected region with the hard sounding kicks of DnB really came showed in this song, but I feel there were areas where the bassline wasn't as good as it could've been. As was said before, a little EQ work could easily iron that out, though.

Holy Crap.

Maybe it's because I'm a sucker for orchestral music, but this is amazing.

The depth of the instruments combined with the percussion takes me out of my seat and into the music.

XayberOptix responds:

I'm glad you enjoyed it! :D Thanks for reviewing.

This sounds so amazingly different, dude. You should definitely consider producing songs more like this.

OpenLight responds:

Haha just remember a lot of the stuff is an mp3 of omi's original song.

Yeah I like how this turned out also. And I'm guessing you copied and pasted something from omi's description for the title of your review, or else my NG is completely messing up haha.

!!! :O

I love this remix. Just like with Cars and Women, you took a song of mine and basically retold it in a new and inventive way. I love this song throughout, dude, and that detuning at the end made me go "!!!"

Yes. That part actually made me do that.

OpenLight responds:

Hahaha sweet! Thanks!
